What is recorded here
Colp West holds a buried ringfort, an earthen chamber waiting for human hands to reveal its shape. It is not a fantasy fort, though local names often drift toward fairy tales when people stop understanding the evidence. The field may still contain a dwelling, a boundary, a hearth or a buried life. What is missing is not the place, but the visibility of the place.
