What is recorded here
Fairy forts are not fairy forts. They are human ringforts, misnamed later. The circle in Collierstown is a human making: a boundary drawn in earth, a life lived inside the line. The fairies entered the story only after people stopped remembering their own hands.
A circular enclosure (diam. c. 45m) visible as a crop mark defined by a single narrow fosse feature is visible on a Bing (2013) aerial photograph (SMR file; pers. comm. T. Condit). It is bisected by a N-S field bank.
