What is recorded here
Fairy forts hide in plain sight, wearing pasture and forgetting their own names. Cloonroosk keeps a circular memory twenty-six metres wide, its shallow ditch still drawing the eye across level grass. The fort has been reduced, yet it has not disappeared. It waits for someone to stop measuring and begin listening.
In level pasture. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure on 1923 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled. However, it is still evident as roughly circular area (26m N-S; 29m E-W) enclosed by fosse (D 0.15m: Wth 3.6m). Edge of enclosed area is slightly higher than centre of interior and this may be remains of levelled bank. Interior surface is uneven and under pasture.
