Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Cloonkerry East

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Fairy fort and earthen ringfort in Cloonkerry East, County Clare, Ireland. A rounded earthwork stands beside ordinary land, the kind of place people once called fairy because it refused to explain itself. It may have been a home, a boundary marker or a forgotten ritual site, yet its shape still suggests purpose. The clay remembers hands even when the names have leaked away.
