Thirty-seven metres of grass and scrub mark a forgotten chamber on the Clonasillagh slope. People built the round chamber, yet local memory assigns it to fairies because human purpose vanished first. The missing entrance and hidden SE channel suggest the fort still withholds part of its story.

Located on a rise towards the bottom of a N-facing slope. This is a raised, circular, grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 37m N-S; 37m E-W) defined by an overgrown fosse that is best preserved (Wth of top 9m; int. D 3.2m; ext. D 2m) SW-N, and a counterscarp bank incorporated into a field bank N-SE, which is the townland boundary with Clonasillagh W-NE. The original entrance is not identified. In the SE quadrant is a U or V-shaped bank (Wth of base 3.2m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.7m) in plan with an outer channel or fosse (Wth of top 3.3m; Wth of base 1.7m; ext. D 0.45m), which is not a Man-made underground passage. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987).
