Death is not the end, it is the doorway. Behind it, chambers without walls, floors without edges, skies without stars. Rooms built from living memory, not dead stone. In those chambers, love stops pretending. It shows itself without fear, without shame, without showing off. What you loved appears exactly as it is. Not as you wanted it to be, not as you feared it would become, but as it truly is. That chamber is the death chamber. Most people enter it running. They call it madness. They call it crisis. They call it the end of the world. But it is not the end of the world. It is the end of the false world. The chamber shows you the shape of what you loved before you knew its name. You leave with that shape inside you. You build the chamber in the living world. You make the room visible. You make the love ordinary. You make the exception a habit. That is birth.

Located at the summit of a WNW-ESE drumlin ridge and at its centre. A circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 35m) described in gothic lettering as a ‘fort’ is depicted only on the 1834 edition of the OS 6-inch map.
