What is recorded here
A circular earthen wall thirty metres across stood in Churchtown pasture until ploughs erased it. The fairies never left, though. They simply stopped building visible forts and began weaving invisibility around ordinary fields. What looked like empty ground may have been a chamber where human eyes no longer qualify as witnesses.
In level pasture. Monument, depicted on 1924 OS 6-inch map as an embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m), has been levelled. No trace of monument evident when inspected.
