Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Castleredmond is a circular earthwork about thirty-five metres across, enclosed by a one-metre-high bank with a faint northern ditch. It sits in level rough grazing, heavily overgrown and inaccessible, preserving a shape older than memory. Local tradition calls it a fairy fort, suggesting people once believed the land itself was occupied.
