In mature forest known as Philip's Wood, on NNE-facing slope. Roughly circular area (38m E-W; 33m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.7m; ext. H 0.7m) with external fosse (D 1.3m). Causewayed entrance (Wth 4m) to E. Fosse infilled to NE and used as forest road. Interior raised on N side to compensate for hillslope. Enclosure planted with coniferous trees.
