Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Cartron (roscommon By., Rossmore Ed) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cartron (roscommon By., Rossmore Ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a slight rise in a broad east-west valley and presents a D-shaped grass platform measuring 27.6 metres north-south and 25.6 metres east-west. A low scarp defines the edge, though a north-south field bank truncates the eastern side. Gannon recorded a possible northern entrance but found no visible fosse.
Marked only on the 1927 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a slight rise on the floor of a broad E-W valley. D-shaped grass-covered platform (dims 27.6m N-S; 25.6m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.3-0.5m) which is truncated by a N-S field bank at E. There is a record of a bank with a possible entrance at N, but there was no visible fosse (Gannon 1972). It is within field system (RO022-012003-).
