It occupies a slight east-west ridge at the bottom of the north-facing slope of Rathcroghan and appears only on the 1927 edition of the Ordnance Survey six-inch map. The circular grass-covered area measures thirty-one metres north-south and twenty-nine metres east-west, bounded by an earthen bank that narrows to a low scarp toward the south-east and south-west.
