Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Carrowmore (ballintober South By.) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carrowmore (ballintober South By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the western edge of a plateau as a circular grass-covered platform measuring forty-five point seven metres north-west to south-east and forty-three metres north-east to south-west. A rounded fosse surrounds the platform on most sides, while a two-point-eight-metre causeway cuts through at the south-west. A north-west to south-east field bank truncates the north-eastern section, marking the limit of its survival.
At the W edge of a plateau. Circular grass-covered platform (diam. 45.7m NW-SE; 43m NE-SW) defined by a rounded fosse (Wth of top 8.6-10.7m; Wth of base 2.4-3.4m; int. D 1.6-1.8m; ext. D 0.4-1.1m) E-S-WNW and at N with a causeway (Wth 2.8m) at SW. The monument is slightly truncated by a NW-SE field bank at NE and does not survive beyond it.
