Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Carrowkilleen (tirawley By.) is a vanished rath in County Mayo, Ireland. It stood on a slight rise beside pasture and a nearby farmstead, large enough to circle but small enough to hide in plain sight. The earth has taken back its shape, leaving no visible trace despite appearing on later maps. What remains is a quiet invitation to imagine the lives that moved through that forgotten ring.
In pasture, located on a slight rise in undulating terrain. Ground falls away gently to N–NW. There is a farmstead c. 40m to E. This possible rath is not shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map; it is shown on the 1922 edition as a circular, enclosure (diam. c. 20m). It has been levelled; there is no visible trace at ground level.
