Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Carrigans Upper is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carrigans Upper, County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies a broad rise in pasture and presents a roughly circular shape twenty-eight metres north-south and twenty-six metres east-west. A western entrance uses a three-metre ramp across a shallow fosse, while an earthen bank and scarp define much of the perimeter. The interior remains dry and clear of overgrowth on a slight slope toward the northeast.

In pasture, on a broad rise on a slight NNE-facing slope. A roughly circular raised area (28m N-S; 26m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 1.3m) with a slight internal lip (H 0.35m) SE-NW, by an earthen bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.5m) NW-N and by a field boundary NE-SE. A WSW-ENE field boundary is built 1m outside the external base of the bank NW-N and it is possible that this section of bank is not an original feature but the result of disturbance to the edge of the interior during construction of the field boundary. There is an entrance at W consisting of a ramp (Wth 3m) with a causeway across the fosse. An external fosse (D 0.2m) is evident SE-NW. The interior slopes slightly down to NE and is dry and clear of overgrowth.
