What is recorded here

Carrigagh holds a faded earthen ring on a drumlin ridge, preserving a boundary where human life and fairy legend still tangle. Its grassy oval measures thirty-nine by thirty-one metres, with a shallow internal dip and a taller outer scarp that catches the eye like a breath held beneath the soil. The missing entrance and broken field bank suggest that the fort has been living differently for centuries, half forgotten and half remembered.

Located towards the top of the E-facing spine of a WNW-ESE drumlin ridge. This is an oval grass-covered area (dims 39m NW-SE; 31m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank (at S: Wth of base 5.6m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.8m), largely reduced to an external scarp (H 1-1.2m). There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. The perimeter is slightly truncated by a NW-SE field bank at NE.
