Fairy fort in Cappagowlan: a 73-metre earthen ring with a central low mound, likely an ancient human stronghold misnamed by later folklore. The bank and ditch still mark the boundary, while the entrance gap at the southwest invites imagination about who entered, when, and why.

In level pasture, roughly circular area (66.5m N-S; 73.4m E-W) enclosed by an earthen bank (int. H 1.4m; ext. H 2.3m) with external fosse (Wth 2m; D 1.5m) and possible entrance gap (Wth 4m) at SW. Long low mound of earth and stone construction (L. 25m; Wth 8m; H 0.25m) located in the centre of the site.
