Fairy forts are human ringforts misnamed, often by people who stopped asking questions. In Camas, a circular earthen bank with an outer ditch and a southern gap still lies hidden under pasture growth. The chamber may have held a family, a herdsman or a small neighbourhood. The fairies enter only when people stop believing the chamber belonged to someone real.
In level pasture. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on 1924 OS 6-inch map, is now completely covered by dense overgrowth. However, as far as could be ascertained it is enclosed by an earthen bank with external fosse and counterscarp bank. Gap (Wth 4m) in bank at S.
