Marianne and I walked to Broomhill in the rain, following the old survey line to a smooth grass ridge where the fort had been rubbed out. Under our boots lay a chamber no larger than a kitchen, yet wide enough for every secret a small life can hold. We sat on the hidden stone until dark, listening for the shape of the people who had turned it into a room.

In pasture, atop rock outcrop, c. 70m to WSW of Broomhill Cottage. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; no visible surface trace.
