Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Brideswell is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Brideswell, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a rise in an undulating landscape and contains a circular grass-covered area measuring 28m NNW-SSE. An earth and stone bank defines the perimeter, with traces of internal and external facing-stones surviving NNW-SE. Lazy-beds remain visible inside the circle, while a field wall circumscribes the NE-S edge.
On a rise in an undulating landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 28m NNW-SSE) defined by an earth and stone bank (at N: Wth 3.2m; int. H 0.85m; ext. H 0.5m) with traces of internal and external facing-stones (original Wth 2.1m) which survives NNW-SE but is barely traceable elsewhere. There is no identifiable original entrance or fosse but lazy-beds are visible in the interior, and the remains of a field wall circumscribes the perimeter NE-S. Rath (RO048-078001-) is c. 70m to the N and cashel (RO106----) is c. 180m to the SW.
