Fairy fort in Breany, County Longford: a 37m earthen ring on a gentle east-facing pasture slope, its low scarp and shallow outer ditch still marking the boundary though the entrance has vanished. It may have been a household place, a boundary marker, or a child’s climbing ring before becoming fairy ground in local speech.
On a gentle E-facing slope in pasture. A raised circular area (diam. c. 37m) defined by a scarp (H 0.5-1.2m), with an external fosse (Wth 2.6-3.5m; D 0.2-0.3m) from NNW-S-WNW. The original entrance is not recognisable.
