In level pasture, c. 350m to SE of River Blackwater. Roughly circular area (44.5m E-W; 38.8m N-S) enclosed by heavily overgrown earthen bank (int. H 1.35m; ext. H 1.7m). Bank stone-faced externally and incorporated into field fence system to N, E and S. Man-made underground passage (CO031-04202-) in interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
