Fairy fort in Boherascrub West sat on a gentle south-facing slope above a sharp fall to a stream bed. People levelled the earth in the early 1970s, yet they still saw enough of the circle to find a hidden underground passage inside. The field boundary cut across the northern edge, suggesting the fort resisted human claims for centuries before machinery finally erased its shape.

In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope, above sharp fall of ground down to stream bed. 'Traces' of ringfort, levelled in early 1970s, were still visible when Man-made underground passage (CO024-04902-) was discovered in interior (Cleary 1987, 155). No visible surface trace of site. Cropmark of circular enclosure visible in aerial photograph (GSIAP, R527) shows bank and external fosse, truncated on N side by field boundary.
