Mortons and the fairies both want the fort. There is no record of the dispute or the shape of the compromise. The ground keeps both claims alive: human tools, child laughter, fairy music and the risk of hurting either. To enter is not to own the story but to witness the part where the worlds still touch.

Raised circular area (int. diam. c. 35m) enclosed by an earthen bank, the exterior of which has been faced with stone and incorporated into the field boundary. It is poorly preserved from ESE-S-SW. Original entrance not recognisable. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
