Fairy fort in Barryshall, County Cork: a 38m earthen ring, 3.6m high, stone-faced in places, set atop a hill in pasture. Its eastern gap and rubble-filled ditch suggest entry, exit, and repeated use rather than abandoned ornament. People may have gathered there to mark seasons, settle disputes, or simply enjoy the view; the fairies may have taken the ring for their own.

In pasture, atop hill. Roughly circular area (38m N-S; 38m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 3.6m), stone faced in parts; external fosse S->ENE, partially filled with rubble. Gap in bank to E.
