Barrahaurin holds a twenty-five metre earthen circle on the northeast side of the Dripsey River valley, its north-northeast entrance still visible through rough grazing. The bank rises one point three five metres, tall enough to block a charging horse or a wandering child, yet low enough for neighbours to lean across and speak. People called it a fairy fort, which means they saw more life inside the empty circle than measurement alone can prove.
