Fairy fort in Barrahaurin, a circular stone-and-earth bank about thirty metres across, stands on a SW-facing slope above Dripsey River valley in County Cork. Its interior is crowded with coniferous trees, and a man-made underground passage lies about 190 m to the west-southwest. People may have kept livestock nearby, hidden in the passage when storms came, or simply avoided the fort because fairy stories made it undesirable.
