Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Barnacullen is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Barnacullen, County Roscommon, Ireland. The circular grass-covered area sits towards the bottom of an E-facing slope, defined by an earthen bank and slight traces of an outer fosse. Entrances at ENE, SSW and NNW are probably modern, while the interior and perimeter remain partly obscured by spoil. Rath (RO045-019----) lies approximately 200m to the north.
Towards the bottom of an E-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 34.3m NNE-SSW; 31.8m WNW-ESE) with some scrub defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.2-4m; int. H c. 0.5m; ext. H c. 1m) and slight traces of an outer fosse (at WNW: Wth of top 3.8m; Wth of base 2.8m; D c. 0.1m), but the interior and perimeter are partly obscured by spoil. Entrance at ENE, SSW and NNW are probably modern. Rath (RO045-019----) is c. 200m to the N.
