Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballythomas East

Mud and memory still hold the shape of a thirty-metre circle in Ballythomas East, its entrance tilted toward the southeast as if waiting for someone to return. People called it a fairy fort, perhaps because the dead or the departed keep their own time inside such boundaries. A human hand may have built it, marked it, or simply refused to forget it.
