Fairy fort in Ballyshoneen: a 35.5-metre earthen ring on a west-facing slope, its scarped bank rising three metres above pasture. Hartnett found original rampart still standing to the north while a modern fence had taken the old line to the east. The true strangeness is the possible underground passage within the circle: a hidden chamber or forgotten entrance where the field seems to fold downward. People may have lived there, buried goods there, or simply avoided the hole because the earth sounded hollow underfoot.

In pasture, on W-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 35.5m) defined by scarp (max. H 3m). Hartnett (1939, 156) recorded 'section of original rampart remaining' to N and 'modern field fence superimposed on the line of the old rampart' to E.
