Fairy fort in Ballyshea, County Galway: a well-preserved circular rath, 44.8m across, set on a north-facing slope in rolling pastureland. Two banks and a fosse still shape it, with a narrow north-east gap flanked by a large boulder that may mark the original entrance. Inside the north-east quarter lies a man-made underground passage, the kind of hidden chamber that makes an ordinary field feel inhabited.

On a N-facing slope in rolling pastureland. Well-preserved circular rath (diam. 44.8m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank is visible all round, except at NNW. A gap (Wth 2.1m) at NNE flanked by a large boulder on its S side may mark the original entrance. The fosse and outer bank, which is overlain by a field wall, only survive from SW to W. There is a Man-made underground passage (GA104-059001-) in the NE quadrant of the interior.
