Fairy forts are no such thing. They are human ringforts, often farmed flat before record-keeping arrived. Ballyroe lost one on Smith's farm, leaving only a map line and a warning about what ploughs can erase.
In pasture, on S-facing slope. Shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map as circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m E-W), truncated to NNW by NE-SW field fence. Levelled; according to Power (1940, 24) 'On Smith's farm were two lioses, but both have been destroyed'. No visible surface trace.
