Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballyrickard Beg: County Offaly, Ireland. Rural Offaly holds a small earth ring on a natural rise, not a distant myth but a lived boundary marker. The western scarp and wide southeastern gap suggest people entered, lived, and left behind a shape others kept naming.

Located on a natural rise in undulating countryside. Roughly circular area (diam 35m) enclosed by a slight earthen bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.3m) which has been reduced to a scarp at W with no evidence of an outer fosse. Large modern gap (Wth 12m) at SE probably represents widening of original entrance.
