Fairy fort in Ballyregan, County Limerick: a 30 m earthen ring with a 1.65 m outer bank, shallow outer ditch and stone-facing on the north-eastern arc, set in open pasture beside another enclosure 90 m to the NE. The 1897 map already showed its rounded outline, so the land remembered the shape long before survey wheels rolled across it. People may have lived, hidden or simply marked boundary there; the stones and soil no longer explain which.

In gently undulating pasture with moderate views in all directions. Enclosure (LI022-084----) located 90m to NE. Depicted on the 1897 OS 25-inch map as a sub-circular shaped enclosure (32m N-S; 35m E-S). Visited by the ASI in 2000 and described as a raised circular shaped area (diam. 30m) defined by a bank (int. H 0.4m; 4.5m; ext. H 1.65m) with external fosse (Wth 1.9m; ext. D 0.3m). Stone facing on bank from NW to NE. The interior is densely overgrown and inaccessible as shown on Google Earth orthoimage taken 28/06/2018.
