Fairy fort in Ballyoneen, County Cork: a circular earthwork about 30m across, mapped in 1842, now reduced to a U-shaped bank hidden under growth. It sits on rock outcrop between high ground and bog, the kind of edge where people argued about ownership, weather and fear. The small surviving bank still rises a metre outside and sixty centimetres inside, with a probable fosse beside it. Whatever lived there stopped leaving a clear shape, but the ground kept the circle long enough for surveyors to draw it before silence took the rest.

Small segment of bank accessible (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1m) with probable fosse; heavily overgrown elsewhere.
