What is recorded here

No visible mound remains in Ballynahaha, though a high earthen bank and external fosse once enclosed a circular space about forty metres across. The earthwork has vanished under dense growth and dumped field debris, leaving only a hidden boundary beside a public road. What looked like a fairy fort on old maps may have been an ordinary rath, forgotten until overgrowth erased the proof.

In tillage, atop low hill. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m) on 1924 OS 6-inch map, is now completely covered by dense overgrowth. As far as could be ascertained site is enclosed by a high earthen bank with an external fosse. A collapsed dry-stone field boundary bounds site on E side and a public road bounds it on S side.
