Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballynacourty is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Ballynacourty, County Tipperary, Ireland. It occupies a steep southeast-facing slope on Slievenamuck mountain, where forestry covers the hillside but leaves the ringfort area fallow. The interior measures about 44 metres north to south and 48 metres east to west, while the visible northern bank is 2.8 metres wide, 1.27 metres high internally and 0.28 metres high externally. Grass, holly, brambles and dead wood hide much of the structure, leaving only the northern bank and part of the northwest quadrant clear to see.

On a steep SE-facing slope of Slievenamuck mountain, the hillside is covered in forestry though the area of the ringfort has been left fallow. A forest road runs E-W c. 20m N of the monument. There is an oak tree on the upper bank and one in the interior. The interior (overall diam. c. 44m N-S; c. 48m E-W based on OS 6-inch map) and enclosing bank is heavily overgrown with grasses, holly, brambles, low scrub and dead wood. Due to the overgrowth only the N bank (Wth 2.8m; int. H 1.27m; ext. H 0.28m) and a section of the NW quadrant were visible. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
