What is recorded here
Fairy forts are no joke. They swallow light, bend memory and take people who stop to admire them. An hour outside becomes a year inside. The dance never ends. The music never repeats. What is lost in the circle cannot be found again.
Shown as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) on 1842, 1904 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps. Levelled; no visible surface trace.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
