What is recorded here

No visible entrance, no tower, no castle seam. A circular earthwork in pasture, two banks and a ditch, partly swallowed by grass and thorns. The fairies may have taken the entrance, or men may have forgotten it. Either way, the fort still refuses to be entered.

In pasture, on NE-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 28m) enclosed by two earthen banks (inner bank: int. H 0.5m; outer bank: ext. H 1.6m) with intervening fosse; shallow external fosse survives to W. Enclosure heavily overgrown; interior inaccessible.
