Fairy fort in Ballyhooly North, County Cork: a circular earthen enclosure about 30 metres across, mapped in 1842 and 1935, later levelled until only a faint cropmark gave the ditch away. It stands beside another ringfort to the southeast, as if two small moons had settled into the same field. The land has swallowed the ridge, but the shape keeps returning whenever rain or growth touches it.

In tillage. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on 1842 and 1935 OS 6-inch maps. Levelled; no visible surface trace of site. Circular enclosure visible as cropmark of fosse in aerial photograph (CASAP, August 1990). Surrounding field fences removed. Circular enclosure (CO026-138---) immediately to SE.
