Magic and memory have abandoned the site, leaving a clean void where imagination once crowded. The fort is gone, not hidden. What remains is the shape of its absence: a circular gap in the land that refuses to be completed.
In paddock area, on W-facing slope below brow of low hill. Monument, depicted on 1841 OS 6-inch map as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m), has been levelled. No trace of monument evident when inspected.
