Marianne, a spirited young girl, set out to explore the old fort with her dog and best friend. They followed a narrow path through tall grass until they reached a circular wall made of packed earth. Marianne touched the rough surface and felt it warm beneath her palms. The dog barked once, then ran ahead into a hidden doorway none of them had seen before.
