Fairy fort in Ballygriffin, County Cork: a circular earthen ringfort about thirty-five metres across, now levelled but still readable as a low rise and cropmark. It belonged to the ordinary business of living: keeping out rain, wolves, and neighbours. People may have built it, loved it, abandoned it, and forgotten it while the land kept its shape.

In level pasture. Depicted as hachured circular raised area (diam. c. 35m) on 1935 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; low rise visible in area of site; circular enclosure visible as cropmark of bank and external fosse in aerial photograph (GSIAP, W415).
