Fairy fort in Ballyglass, County Cork: a 35-metre earthen ring on a west-facing slope, with a causeway through its eastern gap and a second opening to the west. It stands in tillage, shaped like a threshold rather than a forgotten ruin. People may have lived there, excluded others, or abandoned it when the land changed; the bank still marks the edge of that choice.

In tillage, on W-facing slope. Circular area (35m E-W; c. 34m N-S) defined by earthen bank (int. H 1.74m); external fosse (D 0.8m) NW->SW. Gap in bank to ESE (Wth 4.5m) with causeway across fosse; second gap to W (Wth 5m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
