Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballygilgan is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Ballygilgan, County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies level pasture immediately northwest of a stream, forming a slightly raised circular area twenty-five metres across. A low broad earth bank two metres wide and zero point three metre high encloses the space, while a one and a half metre break at the southwest marks the original entrance.
Situated in level pasture immediately to NW of a stream. Slightly raised circular area (diam. 25m) enclosed by a low broad bank of earth (Wth 2m; int. H 0.3m). There is no fosse visible at ground level. A NE-SW flowing stream abuts the external base of the bank E-SE. A NE-SW orientated field boundary bank, with a drain on the W side, abuts the external base of the bank W-WNW. A break (Wth 1.5m) in the bank at SW marks the position of the original entrance.
