Mortals may have lived inside the Ballyduhig ring, but the fairies certainly did. They built a home for themselves, a place of wonder and delight, and they still dance there at midnight. The fort stands as a reminder that the unseen world is as real as the stone walls and the living people who walk beside them.

Internal diameter 34m N-S This univallate rath is extremely overgrown. It consists of a circular area enclosed by a c 3m wide bank, which rises to .5m-1m high externally and to .3m high internally.
