Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballydonnell

Fairy fort in Ballydonnell, County Limerick: a 40m earthen ring with a 1.75m outer bank, shallow fosse and a 1.6m western gap, half swallowed by overgrowth in level pasture. The bank is worn flat from north to east-southeast, as if generations passed that way or water carried soil across it. People may have lived there before the name changed, or the name may have protected the shape when memory thinned. Either way the circle still holds its line, waiting for someone to walk the gap and measure what remains.
