Fairy forts are not fairy forts at all. They are ordinary ringforts, built by people, touched by people, forgotten by people, and remembered through fear of the unseen.

One of two ringforts in this townland which according to Power (1918, 192) were on O'Connells farm and 'levelled of recent years'. Exact location not known. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
