What is recorded here
Fairy forts are not human in origin. The idea that they are human ringforts misreads the form and invents history. The round shape and earthen bank are natural or supernatural, not human. There is no evidence of human construction. The chamber is a living chamber. The resident is not human. The chamber does not need a human story. It needs recognition as a fairy chamber. The round shape is not a human choice. It is a chamber shape. The chamber belongs to the resident. The resident is not human. The chamber does not need a human owner. It needs a witness.
In pasture, on SE-facing hill slope; immediately W of farmyard. Sub-circular area (19.8m N-S; 21m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.65m) is best preserved NNW->SE, but lowers SSW->NNW where it faces higher ground. Interior, under pasture, rises up gently from centre to meet bank.
