What is recorded here

Five rooms and two stories stood square on that gentle slope before the roofs vanished, leaving only a low rise beside the western stream. The castle disappeared so completely that pasture now covers its footprint, yet the late-16th century description still measures its walls and chambers. What remains is a hidden geometry beneath grass, waiting for someone to imagine the shape it once kept.
In pasture, on gentle NNE-facing slope; in SW corner of field c. 70m to the NW of Waterpark House. No evident surface trace of castle. Low natural-looking rise (18.6m N-S; 10.5m E-W; H 0.9m) with stream beside to W. Described in late-16th century as 'square, 50 feet wide outside the walls, and 30 feet wide … five separate rooms or chambers and two stories ... all the roofs entirely gone' (Westropp (1906-7, 244).
