Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballycomisk is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Ballycomisk, County Tipperary, Ireland. It occupies a circular pasture area 44 metres northeast-southwest and 42 metres northwest-southeast on a north-northwest to south-southeast ridge. A four-metre-wide earthen bank surrounds the area, with a south-southwest to east U-shaped fosse and outer bank beyond the main entrance.
In pasture, on top of a ridge (long axis NNW-SSE). Excellent views in all directions. Circular area (dims. 44m NE-SW; 42m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (overall Wth 4m; Wth at top 0.75m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 1.65m) reduced to scarp in places. Entrance (overall Wth 8m; basal Wth 5.5m) at SSE. Intervening fosse (overall Wth 7.6m; basal Wth 2.7m; D 0.75m) SSW-E, is U-shaped. Outer bank (overall Wth 3.9m; Wth at top 1.2m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.75m) SSW-E, is eroded down in places. Outer bank is levelled and pushed into fosse SSW-E. Interior has a SSE-facing slope.
